Russian trade representative in Germany spoke about the work of the German business
German business uses maximum opportunities to work in Russia contrary to the position of the EU, Russian Trade Representative in Germany Andrei Sobolev said in an interview with the media.
"From my point of view, the German business, by its actions on the Russian track, sets an example of healthy pragmatism and independent thinking throughout the EU. Acting within the framework of the specified "rules", it goes against the general flow and uses its capabilities in Russia to the maximum", - said Mr. Sobolev.

The Eastern Committee of the German Economy takes an active position in favor of lifting sanctions and restoring constructive and mutually beneficial relations. According to the survey German companies on the business climate conducted by the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, more than half of German companies operating in Russia, were able to increase their turnover in 2018", added Mr. Sobolev.
In the first quarter of 2019, according to the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the volume of Russian-German trade amounted to US$ 13.9 billion.
